A world leader in metallurgical coal and LNG, Queensland is also home to 19 of the world’s most sought after critical minerals and natural resources powering the new economy and generating $5 billion-plus in export revenue. With the help of TIQ’s Go Global Export Program, Queensland-based agtech company CERES TAG has stamped its name on the international stage, transforming livestock management through smart technology.
Its world-first direct-to-satellite livestock management platform tracks location, health and welfare of animals. The product was available in 33 countries within two years of operation. CERES TAG worked with TIQ to access new markets, with introductions to stakeholders around the world.

Services and support

Queensland’s modern, vibrant economy is underpinned by a diverse services sector spanning international education and training (IET), tourism, business and professional services, telecommunications, IT, and cultural and recreational industries. Valued at $16.7 billion in 2024 and continuing to grow, services are a key export driver, with IET contributing $6.85 billion as the state’s largest services export and fourth overall behind coal, LNG and beef.
